VW Campervan Conversions Crawley

What a company from start to finish. Just picked up my conversion and I'm over the moon. When I first popped in just to look around I was sold. Dan even opened specially for me on a bank holiday to go over the spec of my van build. Jasmin and Luke kept me informed of the build on a weekly basis with pictures of the progress. The build quality is second to none with no corners cut. I am so glad I got my slot this year, as after their award recently 😉 I think they are going to have a very busy year next year. I cannot wait to go on the maiden voyage and I'm sure I will be using them for my upgrades in the near future. THANKS AGAIN TEAM 👍

I have been absolutely thrilled with my campervan conversion from Out and About. I'm a vanlife novice but Dan and Jasmin made the whole process incredibly clear and easy. They even spent time helping me to find a van although, in the end, I sourced one on my own from an approved VW dealer. Once I started using the van, I realised how clever Dan's design is as well as how great it looks. I love the unholstery created by Bobby (from sister company L'Artisan) and every other aspect of the conversion design is attractive, ergonomic, practical and hard-wearing. Everyone at Out and About is always incredibly friendly and helpful, and Jasmin always responds quickly to any follow-up emailed queries. After a few months of use (including a trip to Spain), I returned to the workshop today with a very short snagging list & everything was fixed while I waited. Great service. Gorgeous van!

The short version: a superb, stylish, conversion company with people who genuinely care about your experience. If you are considering a conversion and you like the look of their interiors, it's worth the effort to go an meet them. The long version: We spent a good deal of time checking out the various options for conversions, including the well known companies. We are so glad that we found Out & About. Of course it's a personal thing how you would like your van styled, but we really loved the pics on their website so made the trip down to see them. We met Luke and Jasmine who couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. We got the full tour of the vans they had in - completed, part-completed - and it was clear that these guys loved what they did. We decided to go for it - but we hadn't actually got a van to convert at this point. Luke took the job on and between us, we got a van sorted. When running through the various options available (we went for the contemporary interior) - Luke explained each simply and carefully and I never felt under pressure to accept an option. Deposit paid and a build slot in a few weeks. Throughout the build, we were kept updated by Jasmine - some changes were requested by us and dealt with. On pick up, the van was ready and looking amazing. We've only done one short trip to date and it was amazing. Highly recommended.

These guys are great. Small enough company to give a personal service, but big enough to sort any issues quickly. We found OAAC through an eye-catching pic on FB that we liked, being a bit different from the crowd. We met up with Dan to discuss our needs and 'hey presto!', a couple of months later we have a bespoke campervan that we absolutely love. Any communication with OAAC has been very easy, and any 'snagging' issues (and I must say there have been surprisingly few) have been sorted without any qualms. Quality is top notch with an eye for detail. A big thankyou to Dan, Jasmin, Luke and the rest of the team. And I mustn't forget Bob from L'Artisan, who did a lovely job of the upholstery. Co-located in the same unit and working closely with OAAC.

Sue and I couldn't be happier with our (yet to be named) camper. We were after a cross between a day van and fully fledged camper van, but without the wardrobe as we thought it would be slightly claustrophobic in the rear for any passengers we may be carrying. We found OAAC, and from the first meeting knew they were the ones to carry out the conversion. Nothing was too much trouble, even if we popped in unannounced. Even a viewing of the machine shop was interesting and welcome, having been a machinist in a previous life. Weekly updates with photos was great to have. Once we had seen the finished conversion, we knew we had made the right choice. We are now in the process of filling it with essentials.
