VW Campervan Upholstery & Interiors Sussex

Why is Campervan Upholstery Important?

Campervan upholstery is important for the comfort of the campervan driver and passengers. Of course, if you are seeking to convert or upgrade your camper, the quality of the upholstery and fabric choices you make will also have a big impact on the resale value of your campervan.

With that in mind, it is not only important to choose a durable fabric but also to have it properly installed. At Out and About Campers we offer a bespoke and high quality camper conversion service, that lets you create both a stunning van and luxurious interior to match the look you are after.

Upgrading Your Campervan Upholstery with Innovative Options

black and red interior of Transporter

Campervan upholstery can be a challenge for many people, but there are some innovative options that can make the process much easier.

There are a number of ways to upgrade your campervan upholstery. You can buy new upholstery from an auto retailer or you can have it custom made by a specialist. We work closely with our in-house upholsterer, L’Artisane, to make sure your van’s personalisation looks cohesive, with only the best quality products and finishings used. This extends from the exterior paint re-spray, to the interior fittings, fabric choices and seat trims.

Campervan Upholstery Ideas

Matching Seating and Seat-bed

We go to great lengths to make sure your fabric choices are spot-on to what you might already have installed in your camper and want to keep.

This beautiful T25 (T3) campervan already had some gorgeous burgundy front seats when we installed a rock and roll bed as part of its custom refit. L’artisane managed to perfectly source and match the same burgundy vinyl to use on the bed and completed the look with the double bently diamond stitching and cream piping.

Seat Re-trimming

We can happily reupholster your existing seats and beds, but also have no problem switching out fabric on new installations.

This black Transporter T6 had a black colour scheme with red accents, but the new rib bed we fitted came supplied with a tartan centre panel. This sort of job is no problem for us, as we simply switched out the center panel with a carefully sourced black vinyl to match the rest of the seat.

Car seat retrimming also extends to the stitching patterns we can use. We’re especially proud of the campervan conversion we did on this Transporter T6.1 Sportline Black Edition. L’Artisane reupholstered the original Rib Beds with full-grain Nappa leather for the outer panels and Alcantara for the seat centres. These panels were further enhanced with some stylish custom stitching in a hexagonal pattern to match the Sportline front seats.

How much does it cost to reupholster a campervan?

As you’ve probably guessed, estimating the cost of a reupholstery project depends on a few factors. These include how much of the interior you wish to refit, the fabric choices you choose as well as any specialist sourcing required. But Out and About Campers are definitely here to help you get the refit of your dreams. So get in touch today and let us give you a quote!
